7/28/2008 VACATION TIME - minus two days and counting
So on Thursday we take the kids and go to the beach for two days. WOO HOO! Kids will be with us Thursday but on Friday, they go home and Sis and I stay. I got a new swimsuit, hat, sun lotion, flip flops (since mine were stolen) and umbrella. That should do it for the packing. I'm ready to go. We will be right on the beach with pool, tikibar, nightclub (note to self, pack more clothes). I just can't wait! Guess what? You can go with me since I have the laptop now. I'll try to post from my lounge chair poolside. Love ya all! 9/6/2006 NashvilleSeptember 7-10 - Nashville here I come. I will be attending a conference for two days in Nashville. So what I will have to spend two days in a meeting, the nights are mine! SEe you all on Monday!

So what I will have to spend two days in a meeting, the nights are mine! So I'm off to the travel guides to find out what fun things there is to do (besides the obvious).

9/8/2005 Reunion 8/25/05Although my pictures didn't turn out (see the last two in the photo album), Uncle Rich was kind enough to send me some really great pictures. Meeting with the KingWhat a wonderful vacation!!! The weather was wonderful. Great fun with family and friends.

A Great time was had by all!!! 8/24/2005 One more dayThe king leaves for Buffalo today. I leave tomorrow night. Here's some beautiful art work of Hamburg http://members.aol.com/jpmarkert/.
The next coincidence is that the Kings friend knows my cousin. Well I contend that everyone knows everyone in Hamburg. The Hamburg zip code population (which includes surrounding area) is 42,082 as compared to the 348,636 in my city (and that doesn't include surrounding areas).
How small is it? My grandmother knew when I went to high school (remember there is only one) with my hair wet (a big no-no). So no wonder people know each other.
Well I'll be back on Tuesday with updates. Don't forget to visit the King for photos.

There are four elementary schools and one Junior High School and one Senior High School (I attended Hamburg High for one year- was on the gymnastic team)
The surrounding areas:
Minutes away from Hamburg, you have Canada and Niagara Falls to the North; winery tours, Amish Country and the Chautauqua Institute http://www.chautauqua-inst.org/ (very cool place) to the South; ski resorts and amusement parks to the East and over 9,000 square miles of fishing, boating and water sports to the west. Residents find employment in industrial and service industries within the Town and Metropolitan Buffalo. Police and fire protection, along with highway, sanitation, recreation, sewage services and facilities, are provided for the area by the Town or special districts under the supervision of the Town Board. The Villages of Blasdell and Hamburg are contained within the Town's boundaries. The Buffalo Niagara International Airport is only a 20 minute drive from Hamburg, on the New York State Thruway.

8/22/2005 3 days to Buffalo and meeting with the KingThis subject has been requested to meet with the King in Buffalo (of all places). I shall meet with him and his appointed kings men in the Village of Hamburg. I must practice my curtsy and spend the next two days washing and ironing my finest gown with a little help from my friends.
8/18/2005 Off to BuffaloMaybe the question is why. Dad lives there and step-mom has a family reunion. I leave August 25, 2005 and return Monday, August 29, 2005. I am going with my sister so it should be a fun trip. I was going to go for Thanksgiving but the air fares were so high I was glad this chance came along. I'll bring back pictures.

I'm not sure what happened to 2006, Sis had personal things going. 2007 was just too weird without mom at the end and me not working at the beginning of the year. Our last vacation was to Ft Myers with King Tom. What a great memory. <sigh>
