Good grief, what is that line made of?
Bear stuns Chuckey (TN) woman by banging on door, walking in Posted on 06/16/2006 4:31:13 AM PDT by don-o Chuckey resident Rela Foshie was on the phone with her son-in-law Thursday afternoon when she heard an unexpected guest banging on her back door.
With a rash of bear sightings in her neighborhood throughout the last two weeks, it didn’t take long for Foshie to realize that her guest was of the non-human variety.
“It beat on my door,” said Foshie, who estimated that her intruder was somewhere between 300 and 400 pounds. “It banged and scared the s--- out of me to be honest.”
For at least the second time in as many weeks, the black bear, apparently in search of a tasty meal, made its way onto the back porch of Foshie’s home located on the aptly named Bearfield Road. But this time, the bear didn’t stop at the porch.
“It came in the back door. I don’t know how it got the door opened, but it did,” Foshie said. “He was in the hallway where the dog food was.”

A very eventful day around here... A once in many lifetimes experience!
A lady found the fawn under her step (they think the doe might have been hit by a car) ... her Ridge Back dog is helping look after it. The family named the fawn Bella. Once she has regained her strength (she was not in good shape when the family found her) they are going to send her to some friends who (in the past) raised two orphan deer and released them to the wild. Right now she is being bottle fed. Their dog (Hogan) has basically taken over. The fawn even shares his bed. Ain't this little Baby cute? :-))
It's only 3 days old.

4/19/2006 Picture is worth a thousand words9/23/2005 Fun PhotosOne part of my job is to do graphic presentations for my boss who speaks nationally (going to New Hampshire now). I have to say it is one of the best parts of my job. I spend time (probably too much) searching the web for photos to represent ideas. It is great fun and even this blog is part of my "research". Needless to say I have many people sending me emails with photos which I have collected over the years. So I have decided that I will start sharing them here. Send me your favorites.
6/13/2005 New Car!!! So I've had this new car for a few weeks. It's a Pontiac Sunfire. Loving it!!! Sun and sound package. Premo sound system with equalizer and six speakers, MP3 player. Sun roof that retracts or vents. Back seats 40/60 split. Color is Sport Red (darker than shown). Watch out now, I'm driving a sports car! LOL |
